Bronze sculpture ”Bookends Women” consists of two seated women who support the books with their backs. The women have laid their arms on their knees, in a secure posture. This causes a curvature in the back, where the books can lean on. This is also a reference to the “back” of a book, which one looks at when the books are in the bookcase. The baseplate is made of granite. There is also a Bronze sculpture ”Bookends Owl.”
